How to Complete W-2 Onboarding in WorkWhile
Completing your W-2 onboarding in WorkWhile involves several steps, including document submission, verification, and resolving any issues that may arise. Follow the guide below to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Step 1: Submit Your W-2 Documents
Upload Required Documents: - Provide photos of either one List A document or one List B and one List C document. - Ensure the photos are of original physical documents (front and back). Screenshots, photocopies, or PDFs are not accepted. - Follow image quality guidelines: place documents on a flat surface, use good lighting, avoid flash, show all edges, and minimize background distractions.
Receive Notifications: - After uploading, the app will notify you that the upload is complete and provide instructions for the next steps.
Step 2: Complete In-Person Verification
Set Up an Authorized Representative: - In the WorkWhile app under the Job tab, enter the mobile number of your authorized representative (e.g., a friend, family member, or colleague). They will receive a secure link via text.
Meet In Person: - The representative must have a camera-enabled smartphone to open the secure link. - They will confirm their location by selecting “Submit Your Location” in the app or scanning a QR code displayed on your screen.
Verify Documents: - The representative will inspect your original documents and compare them to the uploaded images to ensure authenticity. - They will electronically sign Section 2 in the app to complete the verification process.
Step 3: Post-Approval Steps
Complete Personal Information and Background Check: - Once your W-2 application is approved, you will need to complete your personal information and background check. - When you attempt to accept your first shift in the app, you will be prompted to complete the background check.
Troubleshooting Shift Issues: - If the shift does not appear on your profile after attempting to accept it, try accepting it again within the app.
