There are is no penalty for cancelling due to illness if you provide a doctor's note within 7 days of missing work.
How WorkWhile can help: Sick Credit
We know it can be a tough decision to stay home and miss out on earning money. To help reduce some of those concerns when you’re sick, WorkWhile will credit you with a bonus payment if you have to cancel a shift because you are sick. You will need to provide a doctor's note in order to access the Sick Credit benefit.
How it works:
For every 30 hours worked with WorkWhile, 1 hour of pay will be added to your sick credit balance
Credit will be calculated at your average hourly rate and may take a few days to process
Bonus payment only applies if you cannot work due to illness (doctor's note required)
Must be in good standing with work scheduled
