Tryouts are a special opportunity to gain access to invite-only shifts with a business. If you are successful, you will be invited to accept consistent shifts for this position and earn more.
How does it work?:
You are required to attend 100% of the shifts in the Tryout.
The business may remove you from the Tryout if they determine that you're not a good fit for the position. The normal cancellation policy does not apply.
If you're a good fit for the position the business will invite you to accept exclusive shifts.
FAQ
How will I know that I’ve been approved to accept the company’s shifts after the tryout is over? How will I know that I wasn’t approved?
We'll send a text message to let you know if you've been removed from the Tryout or invited to accept shifts. It may take up to 1 week for the business to make a decision.
I can’t attend all of the days within a Tryout. Can I cancel one of the shifts within a Tryout bundle?
You are required to attend 100% of the shifts in the Tryout in order to be chosen for invite-only shifts.
Will I be paid for the shift if the business cancels within the cancellation policy period?
If the Tryout has not yet begun, and the business cancels within their cancellation policy period (e.g. 24 hours from shift start) you will be compensated. However, you will not be compensated if the Tryout has already begun and you are removed from remaining shifts in the Tryout because the business determines you are not a good fit for the position.
If I attended the Tryout and I wasn’t selected by the employer, can I complete the same Tryout shift if offered again on WorkWhile?
At this time you can only Tryout for a position once. However, you may attend multiple Tryouts at the same company if each Tryout is for a different position.
