WorkWhile Platform Guidelines & Policies

WorkWhile’s Platform Guidelines & Policies are established to provide a secure, respectful, considerate, and productive environment for workers, customers, and the WorkWhile worker success team. You are expected to follow these Guidelines & Policies when you use the WorkWhile Platform, and you will be removed from the Platform if you do not do so.

Equal Opportunity

WorkWhile maintains a strict policy against discrimination and harassment, without exception.

We wholeheartedly reject all forms of discrimination based on attributes such as age, color, disability, gender identity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by relevant laws. Instances of harassment, including verbal, sexual, or physical threats, should be reported promptly to WorkWhile Support. In severe cases, local authorities may be contacted.

Anti-Harassment Policy

Sexual assault is serious and is strictly prohibited. Sexual assault means sexual contact of another person or behavior that occurs without the express consent of that person. This includes behavior like unwanted touching, or forcing another person to take part in sexual activity. Sexual harassment is likewise serious and strictly prohibited. Sexual harassment includes but is not limited to unwanted sexual advances; leering, gestures, or displaying sexually suggestive objects, pictures, cartoons, or posters; derogatory comments, epithets, slurs, or jokes; graphic comments, sexually degrading words, or suggestive or obscene messages or invitations; and physical touching or assault, as well as impeding or blocking movements.

WorkWhile's policy prohibits a wide range of inappropriate behaviors, including verbal taunting, derogatory remarks, unwanted physical contact, and threats. We also do not tolerate any form of harassment or discrimination based on protected characteristics such as race, religion, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or political affiliation, or any other status protected by law.

If you become concerned about or experience sexual assault or harassment while on a shift, please reach out to Trust and Safety and report your concerns and experiences to support@workwhilejobs.com so that an investigation may be initiated. When WorkWhile receives allegations of misconduct, WorkWhile will conduct a fair, timely and thorough investigation to reach reasonable conclusions based on the information collected. The information shared during the investigation will remain confidential to the extent possible, and appropriate remedial actions and resolutions will be taken to the extent necessary based on the information collected during the investigation process. WorkWhile also maintains a strict policy to not retaliate against anyone reporting or participating in an investigation regarding allegations of sexual harassment against driver or customer. We care about your safety and the safety of others while using the platform

Respectful Communication

Interactions with company representatives, workers, and WorkWhile employees must be conducted in a respectful and professional manner. In particular, we require platform users to treat the Success Team with the highest courtesy and consideration. Respectful communication will help us address issues efficiently, foster a positive working environment, and maintain the integrity of the WorkWhile platform.

For Workers

Commitment to Trust and Safety

Trust and safety are the cornerstones of our platform. Ensuring safety involves the commitment to:

  1. Follow all relevant federal, state, provincial, and local food, safety, and labor regulations.

  2. Use respectful language when communicating with WorkWhile Support, Work Site Colleagues, Company Representatives, and their customers. Avoid threats, profanity, abusive language, bullying, name-calling, or any other disrespectful behavior.

  3. Avoid roughhousing, conflicts, actions, or physical activities that could jeopardize anyone's safety.

  4. Safely handle tools and equipment, and refrain from tampering with any materials on site.

  5. Adhere to the strict prohibition of firearms or weapons during work shifts.

  6. Abstain from substances that impair performance or cause intoxication while on duty.

  7. Report any witnessed illegal activities during shifts, such as theft or harassment.

  8. Arrive with appropriate attire and follow any other safety requirements at the work site.

Confidentiality & Privacy

We ask all workers to honor the confidentiality of shift or company details, and refrain from sharing restricted information on social media or other public platforms. Workers are required to uphold the confidentiality of proprietary company information on and off the work site. Please be aware that some shifts may require additional Non-Disclosure Agreements.

During work shifts, we ask that all workers refrain from using mobile devices or capturing images. Violations of work site phone policies may result in penalties or bans from the WorkWhile platform.

Profile Accuracy & App Usage

We require that all worker profiles are accurate and maintain up-to-date information. All worker profiles must have an up-to-date profile picture, and all workers must maintain valid addresses and provide accurate personal information. Failure to maintain an accurate profile may result in account suspension or an account ban.

Behaviors such as account sharing, impersonation, or maintaining multiple accounts constitute fraud and undermine Platform Guidelines & Policies. To limit fraudulent activity and maintain platform integrity, the individual listed on the profile must match the individual attending shifts. Fraudulent accounts will be swiftly deactivated.

Worker impersonation is strictly prohibited and may lead to permanent account deactivation and legal action for severe or repeated violations.

Upholding Platform Guidelines & Policies

Should an issue require immediate attention, please reach out to WorkWhile Support as soon as possible with specific details about the experience. We will conduct a thorough assessment and consider all parties involved. WorkWhile is committed to addressing any allegations of misconduct with urgency and diligence. Verified violations of WorkWhile Platform Guidelines may lead to the removal of platform access.

Any individual who reports incidents or concerns about fellow workers or company representatives must provide honest and accurate information to the best of their knowledge. Intentional misreporting of incidents may be considered a breach of WorkWhile Platform Guidelines & Policies.

For Companies

Inclusivity and Equality

At WorkWhile, we are committed to making workers feel valued for their unique contributions and experiences, and we ask that all company representatives provide a secure environment where everyone, regardless of background or identity, feels included, respected, and safe. We should all contribute to building an atmosphere where every worker feels a strong sense of belonging, and where equality, understanding, and respect are actively promoted.

Commitment to Prompt Changes

When listing shifts on the WorkWhile platform, we ask that company representatives communicate any changes, challenges, or needs as quickly as possible. Timely updates regarding shifts and work requirements help ensure better performance and, ultimately, foster a stronger relationship with workers.

Constructive Feedback Loop

After each shift, please take a moment to evaluate worker performance. Workers value constructive feedback and appreciate opportunities to make improvements.

We also encourage company representatives to share feedback with the WorkWhile team to help us evaluate success, learn from challenges, and enhance our services.

Confidentiality & Privacy

Please treat all worker information as private and confidential. We ask that all company representatives maintain any discussion about workers on the appropriate professional channels.
