What are callouts, and how do I manage them?

What is a callout?

When a worker cannot make a shift in the assignment, they can request a callout for that shift.

The worker will continue to be scheduled for the shift until the callout is approved. If the callout is not approved and worker does not show up, the worker will be counted as a no show and blocked from the WorkWhile platform, per standard procedure.

This option is only available for workers that have already completed their first shift in the assignment.


Approving a callout

The person who posts the assignment will be the default contact for callout notifications. If you would like additional people to also be notified of callout requests by email, contact your Account Manager to be added to notifications.

Approved callout shifts will not be backfilled.
